Role: Art Director/Designer
Conceptual design for one of the largest online retail brands as another online venue to be used as a voice covering some of the latest trends in design, music, fashion, architecture, food and DIY. Think of it as a mashup of sites like High Snobiety, Pitchfork Music, Design Sponge, Coolhunter and other high-profile blogs.
The primary goals of the blog was not only to showcase design ideas within fashion/products/home, but to also focus on future thinking ideas that the Target brand has been inspired by and supported. Additionally, new/future products within Target stores/online would be showcased and highlighted within blog posts. This would give the existing customer and blog follower a sneak-peak before announcing to the general public.
Clean and easy to navigate. Also allowing In-store retailers to present a public representation of trending styles that are aimed at the typical Target guest as well as the aspirational customer. The goal is to show what's hot and what's new for the Target customer across several facets that had an overall focus on design and lifestyle. Content would not only be curated by the Target Trend Team, but also current influential designers/bloggers/writers/producers/musicians and other aficionados of trending topics and experts within each scene.
